Rectum cancer : Is it possible to do operation without Colostomy?

Rectum cancer is common in elderly population. The incidence is increasing in younger population in Bangladesh. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment. Many patients waste their time in fear of Colostomy bag placement. Operation is possible without colostomy in most of the cases, though it depends on location of the tumour. With the help of a circular stapling device, it is possible to do operation without Colostomy bag placement in most cases.
