Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative prion disease in which affected individuals suffer destruction of cortical neurons due to accumulation of prions of both beta-amyloid and Tau type. In this video, I will explain the acquisition and progression of Alzheimer's disease and basic reasons for associated dementia.
