Mrs Shantha from Tumkur, had a sudden massive uncontrolled bleeding from right ear for which she was managed with mastoid bandage for several days. She was a known case of tympanojugular paraganglioma. Finally, after several consultations she was referred to our Team BSBI led by Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao.

She underwent complete tumour excision with Infratemporal fossa type A approach. Post operatively her histopathology report showed paraganglioma. She had HB grade III facial paralysis which is expected to recover further. She is extremely happy with the outcome of the surgery & is leading a normal life.
