Mrs. Parula Juamder Akter from Bangladesh suffered from swelling on the right side of her neck for 2 years. She developed pain over the swelling 2 months ago. She consulted team BSBI and was diagnosed to have multiple paragangliomas in the neck.

She underwent internal carotid artery stenting and pre-operative embolization, following which the paragangliomas on the right side of the neck were excised in toto. She is currently disease and symptom-free on the right side and awaiting tumor removal on the left side.
