Ramaprasad Srinivasan, MD, PhD, National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD, provides an overview of Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) syndrome, an inherited, autosomal recessive disorder. Patients with VHL syndrome are more likely to have malignant tumors that will metastasize. These tumors can be found in the kidneys, renal cysts, the pancreas and the central nervous system. Whilst tumors are typically treated individually via surgery, they tend to keep reoccurring. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2022 Congress in Paris, France.
