My journey through cancer had begun before my wedding day, I just didn't know it yet. After being in constant pain for over a year and a GI doctor misdiagnosing me with a fissure I underwent a surgery to fix it. I awoke to find the surgeon standing over my bed with the news that I had aggressive cancer. I had a PET scan that showed it was in 2 of my lymph nodes and I had a 4cm mass. A chemo port was placed and chemo and radiation began. After 2 months of chemo and radiation I am cancer free... for now
