This patient with extensive #cheek #cancer and #mouth cancer was operated upon by #DrSunilRichardson and his team more than 12 years ago. He had a four decade habit of chewing #quid and #tobacco. He had a stage 3 lesion with difffculty in opening mouth, burning sensation and pain.
After #wideexcision was performed along with #neckdissection, it was reconstructed by #nasolabial #flaps and other bilobed flaps. Later in, the flaps were reset and reshaped in a second stage. Further he received #radiotheraphy. No #chemotheraphy.
He is now absolutely normal, going about doing his normal chores. He comes for regular reviews, once every six monthS. He has also since quit the habit and can speak and chew normally.
