Kaposi’s sarcoma (KS) is “cancer that develops from the cells that line lymph or blood vessels”, (American Cancer Society 2014). Kaposi’s sarcoma normally manifests itself in form of tumors on or under the skin. It can also appear on mucosal surfaces and membranes that line the mouth, nose, throat, and anus. However, these tumors can also grow in other body parts like in the lymph nodes, which are the bean-sized collections of immune cells throughout the body, the lungs, or the digestive tract.
