Jerry Bagwell - Mesothelioma Survivor

In June of 2015, Mr. Jerry Bagwell spent two weeks in the hospital due to fluid accumulation around his lung. After the fluid was drained, tests run and biopsy results came back, he finally had a diagnosis: mesothelioma. He and his wife sat down with his doctor in Alabama to come up with a treatment plan. It was at that time that his physician referred him to Dr. David Sugarbaker, a pioneer in the treatment of asbestos related diseases, including mesothelioma. After his initial consultation with Dr. Sugarbaker, Mr. Bagwell agreed to try a radical surgery to attempt to remove the tumor on his lung. Unfortunately his surgery was unsuccessful, but that didn’t stop Mr. Bagwell’s journey. He was recommended to continue treatment for his disease with chemotherapy in his hometown. Nearly a year later, he is feeling well and doing wonderfully.
