Definition: Gestational Trophoblastic Disease is a group of rare diseases in which abnormal trophoblast cells grow inside the uterus after conception. There are 2 conditions, one premalignant, the other malignant.
➡ Common symptoms: Vaginal bleeding, positive pregnancy test, supporting ultrasonographic evidence. Its management includes: Suction curettage, is used to remove molar and partial molar pregnancies.
