Quality of life can be just as important as survival. As GI cancer research increasingly puts a focus on the entire cancer journey, oncologists like Dr Matthew Burge are asking: are the benefits of treatment worth the cost to quality of life for patients?

At the GI Cancer Institute, we believe that every GI cancer patient has the right to live their life to the fullest. STOPNET is a trial that is seeking to find out whether some of these unpleasant treatments can be reduced without a negative effect on the patient's cancer.
