Evaluating the genomic landscape of thyroid cancer

Blessie Elizabeth Nelson, MBBS, DMRT, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, comments on research analyzing thyroid cancer samples from the AACR Project GENIE database to assess genomic aberrations found in thyroid cancer. 2,128 samples were analyzed from a variety of subtypes, and BRAF mutations were found to be common across different thyroid cancers. This interview took place at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2023 in Orlando, FL.
