Endonasal endoscopic approach for a gigantic pituitary adenoma

This video depicts a minimally invasive endonasal endoscopic approach to remove a gigantic pituitary adenoma by UC San Francisco surgeons, Drs. Eze Goldschmidt and Jose Gurrola. The patient presented with severe visual loss and was found to have a very large tumor with optic chiasm and nerve compression. The lesion was removed via an endonasal approach accomplishing improved post surgical vision. The patient was discharged the day after the operation.
