In 1997 David was diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma grade 3. Following diagnosis David had neurosurgery to de-bulk his tumour. A number of years later, following a recurrence of his tumour, David had radiotherapy. In this film David speaks about undergoing radiotherapy, his weight gain following steroids and hair loss. David also speaks about his chemotherapy.
David avidly researched his condition and finds this helps him cope with his condition and keeping a positive outlook on life.
