Cancer of the Hypopharynx - www.drjeeve.com

This is a video of the upper airway of a smoker. He has a cancer of the hypopharynx (throat) or more specifically a right pyriform cancer. It was staged as T2N2b (or Stage IV disease) He presented with enlarged neck lymph nodes. This was treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy and he is now 3 years following treatment and free of any disease. He continues to smoke, unfortunately, as is aware that this increases his risk or cancer recurrence and also new cancers developing in the throat and lung!
