------------------------------------------------- Amit Shenoy is an AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) survivor. For him, initially, there were no significant symptoms other than fatigue. One day during his root canal treatment, bleeding started, unstoppable. On further tests, he was diagnosed with AML. He underwent three rounds of Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant as a part of the treatment. Amit says, "Yes, there is a lot of fear - especially will you beat it or succumb to it. There is no right or wrong answer to this, but the key is to keep fighting until you succeed. Awareness is critical in wading this fear off and gives the patient and caregiver hope."
