Breast Implants: Chest X-ray Findings

Breast Prostheses: There are two circular opacities with homogenous radiodensity and sharp borders. The contours of the opacities and their location (i.e., lower thoracic cavity) are suggestive of cosmetic breast implants. Pitfall: Unilateral breast implants (e.g., following mastectomy) can mimic lung infiltration or pathologic masses.
