Breast Friends - Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation, UWCB funded partner

Facilitated through the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation, Breast Friends provides no-cost prosthesis and mastectomy bras to women who have lost their breasts to breast cancer. External breast prosthesis may be the only option for women who have undergone single or double mastectomies. It can be restorative for women following the trauma of a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and amputation.

Few programs like Breast Friends exist, and it's one of the only programs in the nation that offers free prosthetics to breast cancer survivors. The program is exclusively supported by donations and volunteers and is one of several initiatives you can support when you donate to United Way of the Coastal Bend.
