This is a short treatment outcome awareness video of a limb salvage surgery for bone tumour.
Giant cell tumour is an aggressive benign bone tumour. A core needle biopsy was performed to obtain the diagnosis of giant cell tumour. This is a case of giant cell tumour of the bone affecting the distal radius bone (campanacci grade 3).
She presented with pain and swelling of the lower forearm and wrist, with limitation of movements at the wrist. Multiple options of treatment exist for this aggressive benign bone tumour at the distal radius level. Upon detailed discussion, she was motivated to retain her wrist movements and hence opted for the intralesional procedure to clear disease. Bone allograft was used to reconstruct the defect, and now she is able to perform all activities without limitations.
