Dr. John Bosco, a gastroenterologist at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, knew to screen Bob when he showed signs of abdominal pain, weight loss, and jaundice. Upon completing an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), a non-invasive procedure involving a scope entering through the mouth and throat to the small intestines, Dr. Bosco found a restriction from Bob’s liver to his small intestines. Upon reaching the bile duct, Dr. Bosco placed a stint allowing the bile to flow freely between the liver and small intestine once again. Thanks to Safe Care Promise measures intact, Bob knew he was in the best hands while receiving treatment.
