Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a rare and rapidly progressing cancer of the blood and bone marrow – the spongy tissue inside bones where blood cells are made.
Most adult ALL patients relapse, and the median overall survival rate for those who do is three to five months. In 2015, an estimated 650 patients were diagnosed with Philadelphia chromosome-negative (Ph-) relapsed or refractory B-cell precursor ALL in the United States.
