According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the leading cause of death in the Americas.

Our Game Changer on “Americas Now” nearly lost his mother to breast cancer when he was 13 years old. From Mexico, meet Julian Rios.

His mother’s diagnosis terrified him. It was an experience that set in motion an irrepressible desire for Julian to find a solution to the flawed methods for early detection of the disease.

Today, at only 18 years old, Julian Rios has invented a new device to spot breast cancer. Julian and his team are also turning their attention to finding more reliable methods to detect testicular and pancreatic cancer.

Check out this week’s Game Changer interview to learn more.
