An eye test revealed a lump at the back of James' eye

Fire and Rescue crew manager, James, visited his Specsavers store after experiencing blurred vision. The eye test revealed a lump at the back of James’s eye. Thanks to the quick thinking of his optician, James was seen by a specialist later that day. He
was diagnosed with a melanoma that required surgery. The procedure was risky, with the anaesthetist preparing him for the worst. Thankfully it was successful and the melanoma had not spread.
