Breast lump in boys can be alarming for some and the main concern is usually breast cancer. However, This is a sign of puberty changes and occurs in half of adolescent boys even from as young as age 11.
Also know as breast buds, breast lumps can occur commonly in newborn babies, pre-pubertal and teenage boys due to imbalance of sex hormones with Oestrogen (female hormone) being produced in higher amounts than Testosterone (male hormone) in boys.
If concerned about a breast lump in your son, or as a teenage boy you are worried about man boobs, or a lump in one breast, then see a doctor for further evaluation.
