What are the causes of cancer of the kidney? What are the symptoms and how do you diagnose cancer of the kidney and what is a treatment for cancer of the kidney? We will discuss all these things in a very short time I will just talk about the important points. Cancer of the kidney is one of the common and important cancers in our country. The cause is not known. In fact for many of the cancers we do not know the causes. There are genetic causes but we don't know why a particular individual gets cancer of the kidney on an environmental basis. So if someone asks me why did I get a Kidney Cancer and what could be done to prevent it, I would say probably the answer is in the genes and it is very difficult to prevent it because the cause is in the genes. What are the symptoms of Kidney Cancer? In the early stages the person has no symptoms at all. Nowadays most of the cancers of the kidney are detected based on ultrasound. For example this ultrasound could be done by the office, as a part of Master Health checkup which is done every year in many organizations. It could be done for other reasons where a kidney cancer is detected. So early Kidney Cancer has no symptoms. When the cancer grows in size the patient may experience some symptoms like pain in the abdomen, blood in the urine, generalized tiredness and bloating of the abdomen. There also could be loss of weight and loss of appetite, but these come quite late in the kidney cancer natural history.Next is how does a doctor diagnose Kidney Cancer? The diagnosis is done by ultrasound and by CT scan of the abdomen. This CT scan is done in any major diagnostic center. An injection is given in the hand and CT scan is carried out and this diagnosis cancer of the kidney. Some routine investigations are also done but CT scan is the more important test. What is the treatment for Kidney Cancer? Luckily most of the Kidney Cancers that are detected on ultrasound are curative which means to say they are curable and the treatment for Kidney Cancer is in surgery and since most of the Kidney Cancers now are diagnosed early, many of them are small in size, which means only the removal of the tumor can be done leaving behind the normal kidney. Many years ago when the Kidney Cancers were detected late the entire kidney had to be removed but luckily nowadays we preserve the kidney and remove only the tumor and this can be cured. When the tumor is large the entire kidney has to be removed. There is no chemotherapy or radiotherapy for kidney cancer. Therefore surgical option is the only option for Kidney Cancer. And how do the patients do well after Kidney Cancer surgery? Most of them they do well the risks are very few and if the patient undergoes surgery in an early stage most of these cancers are curable even though the patient has to go to the hospital for regular follow-up once in three months and then later on once in six months, whenever the doctor calls. So this is about Kidney Cancer in short.

Hematuria के कारण : कहीं ख़तम ना हो जाये गुर्दे | Causes of Hematuria in Hindi
Hematuria के कारण : कहीं ख़तम ना हो जाये गुर्दे | Causes of Hematuria in Hindi administrator 0 Bekeken • 2 jaar geleden

Hematuria refers to the presence of blood in the urine, which can be visible to the naked eye (gross hematuria) or detected only under a microscope (microscopic hematuria). It is a concerning symptom that can indicate an underlying medical condition. Several factors can contribute to the development of hematuria. Here are some common causes:

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Infections in the urinary tract, such as in the bladder (cystitis) or kidneys (pyelonephritis), can lead to hematuria. UTIs are often accompanied by symptoms like frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, and cloudy or foul-smelling urine.

Kidney Stones: These are hard deposits formed in the kidneys from minerals and salts. When they move through the urinary tract, they can cause irritation, leading to hematuria. Kidney stones may also cause severe pain in the back or lower abdomen.

Urinary Tract Injuries: Trauma or injury to the urinary tract, such as during accidents, falls, or certain medical procedures, can result in hematuria. The injury may affect the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra.

Bladder or Kidney Infections: Infections specifically in the bladder (cystitis) or kidneys (pyelonephritis) can cause hematuria. These infections are often accompanied by symptoms such as pain in the lower abdomen, frequent urination, and fever.

Enlarged Prostate: In men, an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia) can cause hematuria. The enlarged prostate can obstruct the normal flow of urine, leading to bleeding.

Kidney Disease: Various kidney conditions, including glomerulonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, and kidney cancer, can result in hematuria. These conditions can damage the kidneys' filtering system, causing blood to appear in the urine.

Medications and Blood Thinners: Certain medications and blood-thinning drugs, such as aspirin, warfarin, or heparin, can increase the risk of bleeding and hematuria.

Cancer: In some cases, hematuria may be associated with urinary tract or kidney cancer. It is essential to rule out these possibilities, especially if other symptoms like weight loss, fatigue, or pain are present.

It's important to note that the presence of blood in the urine does not always indicate a severe underlying condition. However, since it can be a sign of a significant health issue, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional if hematuria is observed. A thorough medical evaluation, including physical examination, medical history review, and diagnostic tests, will be necessary to determine the specific cause and provide appropriate treatment.
