Dr Manchanda speaks with ecancer at BCGS 2018 about the PROTECTOR study for women with a high risk of developing ovarian cancer.
He describes the aetiology of the disease, and managing the impact of side effects following removal of ovaries with hormone therapy.
Dr Manchanda goes on to describe the staging of the PROTECTOR study, in which fallopian tubes are removed while ovaries remain intact, aiming to balance risk reduction and quality of life for patients.
