Hey everyone and welcome to my channel! Im currently in pursuit of becoming a great physician in the field of Gastroenterology! Many years ago, I began my medschool career and although it was a long and demanding journey, throughout all those years, I learned I had a particular fascination and pull towards the field of Gastroenetrology. And so, after much hesitation and contemplation, I decided to start this channel. My aim with the channel is to share bits of my gastroenterology knowledge with medical students, nurses, patients or anybody who needed information about these specific medical pathologies. What is Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP)
Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is an inherited disorder characterized by cancer of the large intestine (colon) and rectum. People with the classic type of familial adenomatous polyposis may begin to develop multiple noncancerous (benign) growths (polyps) in the colon as early as their teenage years.
