The findings on chest CT that could indicate lung cancer
All imaging falls into one of two categories, screening or diagnostic. Screening tests look for a disease in a healthy person who has no history or symptoms of that disease. They are useful in finding diseases early, when treatment may work better. Diagnostic imaging evaluates symptoms that may indicate an underlying disease or further defines a known disease. Knowing the difference between these two types of exams can help you determine what scans to get and how to interpret the findings. In this video, from our Chest CT Essentials course, we discuss these two types of imaging tests in the context of lung cancer evaluation.
