Raul C. Ribeiro, MD: Advances in Pediatric Cancer
Dr. Raul Ribeiro talks about advances in pediatric cancer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. In addition, he discusses the results of a phase one study --- targeting the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene with the oral agent crizotinib (Xalkori, Pfizer) slowed or eliminated signs of tumor growth in pediatric patients with aggressive forms of neuroblastoma, anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs).
