In 2014, he went to Mumbai for treatment, where the doctors did his surgery, and he was cured of throat cancer. In 2015, it recurred. This was the time he got chemotherapy and radiation therapy. They both had side effects. The side effects caused him pain which he was not able to bear. He was given 31 radiation and three cycles of chemo. Radiations did save his life but gave him diabetes, thyroid, and even his pancreas were removed. He was a fitness freak and still is, but even now, he has effects on his body. To cure the side effects, he went for ayurvedic and homeopathic treatment. It's been 5-6 years now & he has not gone to the doctor for a checkup or a follow-up. He is just taking the medicines prescribed by the doctor & doing exercises regularly.
