Jamie's Story | Brain Tumour | Stand Up To Cancer
Jamie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour at the age of 24 that ended his judo career. Jamie was the British number one and the Welsh champion – but was told he will never compete again after receiving his diagnosis.
“Being told at the age of 24 that you’ll probably never see 30. That’s a moment you will never forget… You’re not going to grow old. You’re not going to have kids. You’re not going to get married and have a house and all those things you kind of expected you would do.”
Sadly Jamie passed away in November 2017.
1 in 2 people in the UK will get cancer during their life time. Every pound you give helps speed up life-saving cancer research, bringing treatments to people who need them, faster.
