A study involving rats undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer confirmed how fasting can potentially have a significant positive impact on our overall health.

The group of rats were divided in two: fasting and normal eating.

As the experiment progressed, the rats who were fasting moved around actively while those that ate normally moved slowly and acted sickly.

The researchers concluded that in mice injected with human breast and ovarian cancer cells, fasting cycles promoted survival extension by protecting the mice from chemotherapy while causing a strong inhibition of tumor progression.โ€
