Case study: 23-year-old female with classical Hodgkin lymphoma with nodular sclerosis, stage lVA
Dr Stefano Luminari is an Assistant Professor of Oncology in the Department of Diagnostic, Clinic and Public Health Medicine at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
He is a member of the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (FIL), with an active role in coordinating the data center of the group in Modena, and has participated as an investigator in numerous clinical trials, mainly focused on indolent lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and aggressive lymphoma in elderly patients. Since 2006 he has been involved in Italian studies into the use of 18F fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) in Hodgkin lymphoma, and is currently leading a research program examining FDG-PET in the management of patients with follicular lymphoma.
Dr Luminari is author/co-author of over 75 peer-reviewed papers, describing results of Phase II and III clinical trials in lymphoma, biomarker and prognostic research, epidemiology of lymphoma, and drug safety studies. His clinical research interests are focused on lymphoproliferative disorders and the epidemiology of oncological diseases.
