Bras and Breast Prosthesis: Cancer Project #39

This is a fashion show of sorts, showing the bras I got along with the breast prosthesis. The prosthesis is from Amoena. Mine is size 6/7 (whatever that means). I find it intriguing that it has a faint nipple imprinted on it. I suppose it’s more for esthetics than anything else, to make the wearer feel like it’s more real or something. It’s not. It’s silicone (or whatever it’s made of – I never did look it up).

Nordstrom did a good job with the pocket inserts. The sewing job is very fine. I just wish they had matched the fabric color.

I do have to take one bra back to Nordstrom to see if they can adjust it so that it fits better, but all in all, I’m happy with the bras and the prosthesis. I feel much more comfortable in public. I don’t feel like I have to hunch over and hide my boobs, and I can go back to wearing the thinner, sheerer blouses.

Note: None of the items or services mentioned in this video were sponsored. They were bought through my medical insurance and the opinions are my own.
