I came here for a doctor's appointment. And after I finished my appointment, I came downstairs and I happened to see the store. I came in and met the lovely Tania.
[Tania Spinks, Mastectomy Fitter, The Boutique At Miami Cancer Institute]
Tania Spinks:
When she first came in, she was just looking at the wigs. And she mentioned that she had a mastectomy nine years ago and she was having a hard time finding bras. That's when I showed her the bras. Finally she found one that she loved.
Marilyn Wagshul:
Most people don't realize this, of how difficult it is to find bras. And for a lot of people who need other devices, to find things for breast cancer patients.
Tania Spinks:
And just to see the patients, they look at themself in the mirror and they're almost crying, saying they feel back to where they were before the surgery.
[Tania shows Marilyn some of the different bra selections]
Marilyn Wagshul:
I'm very happy I found the store. It's really helped me. And I think it's very important that people who are going through chemo and cancer treatment know, in this building, where they come anyway, there are wigs available and things for mastectomy patients, bras and other things. I think it's important that people know about it.
