Pediatric cancer incidence may be higher in children of women who lived in polluted areas during pregnancy. I'm Erin White and this is a dailyRx Minute. Exposure to high levels of traffic-related air pollution during pregnancy may increase the likelihood of three childhood cancers.Including a 4% increased risk of developing acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a 19% increased risk of all types of cancer of the eye, and a 17% increased risk of germ cell tumors. Ask your doctor how to lower your pollution exposure while pregnant. For dailyRx TV, I'm Erin White.
