3 Types of Age Spots:

Age Spot/ a.k.a Liver Spot/Solar Lentigines/ Snile Lentigo
-More common in adults over 50
-Younger people can get them if they spend a lot of time in the sun
-Common areas:
-Face
-Arms
-Shoulders
-Hands
-Upper Back
-Areas most exposed to the sun
-More common with lighter skiin types

Appearance of the this type of Age Spot:
-flat, oval
-color: tan, black, or brown
-size: small freckle size to about 1/2 inch across and can start to group together

Macule- flat usually a darker area measuring less than 1 centimeter wide and anyone at any age can have these. These are flat but not indented.

-caused by keratinocytes
