A Bladder Cancer Survivor's Story: Peter - Happy Camper After Bladder Cancer
Peter’s cancer journey began in December 2020 with what he thought was a urinary tract infection. Experiencing discomfort while urinating, Peter went to his doctor for tests that showed reason for concern. He was referred to a specialist, who performed a diagnostic test and procedure. Cancer. Unfortunately, Peter’s cancer had advanced to stage three and invaded the muscle wall. He would need more invasive treatment. Peter turned to Henry Ford Health for treatment since they offered clinical trials for bladder cancer. He underwent a Neobladder procedure as well.
