Peter Weller, MD is the William Bosworth Castle Professor of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Professor in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Harvard University. In this Grand Rounds, he presents a lecture on the immunobiology of eosinophilic leukocytes. Dr. Weller is an immunologist specializing in eosinophils and their role in inflammation and disease. His research interests include defining mechanisms by which eosinophils interact with other cellular elements of the immune system to govern immune responses and synthesis and release of cytokines. The title of his April 7, 2017 Grand Rounds talk is โ€œEosinophils: Long Afoot But Not Effete."
