When most people hear this - they are shocked! ๐Ÿ˜ง

When you think of a smoothie, you think about adding in healthy greens or fruit. ๐Ÿฅฌ All packed into one cup. What could possibly be wrong with this? ๐Ÿค”

Let me tell you! โžก๏ธโžก๏ธ

The typical smoothie is completely unbalanced when it comes to macronutrients.

โœ…Nearly all carbohydrates.
โŒHardly any protein.

This is an issue because the overwhelming majority of cancer survivors ARE NOT eating enough protein.

๐ŸฅฏCarbohydrates are all around us - bagels, toast, berries
๐Ÿ—But protein - that takes more effort to get your levels up.

Even if you are adding in yogurt or protein powder to your smoothie, chances are - itโ€™s still really high in carbs.

The other issue is - Weight gain!

We can consume a lot more calories if we drink them. ๐ŸฅคSo unless you are struggling with weight loss, I want you to eat your food (donโ€™t drink it).

We often see โ€œhealthyโ€ trends invade the cancer space but they just arenโ€™t right for cancer survivors. Thereโ€™s nothing wrong or bad about smoothies. Itโ€™s just not as โ€œhealthyโ€ as you might think.
